Le Regne Vegetal was a seventeen volume publication, considered as one of the finest and most comprehensive surveys of the plant kingdom. The work was compiled by a team of experts in the field, namely O. Reveil, A. Dupuis, Fr. Gerard, and F. Herincq and featured hand colored plates by Maubert.
