Johann Fredrich Penther was one of the preeminent 18th-century German architects and a contemporary of, among others, Colen Campbell. Penther was trained in Liegnitz and Frankfurt and was most known for the churches and other important buildings he designed in and around Strasburg. These are the original plates from his publication “Zweiter Teil Der Burgerlichen Bau Kunst”.
